founder & festival director
yavuz kurtulmus is founder of migay, the first austrian platform for lqbtiqa+ migrants, an organization that puts an emphasis on visibility and representation of queer minorities and poc. for more than 15 years he has been working as a political activist. in 2012, he founded transition international queer & minorities film festival, austria‘s only queer film festival happening with a focus on gender diversity and queer migrants. he promoted cooperative events with the teddy award of the berlinale, the oslo/fusion festival and the wien museum. yavuz kurtulmus is an experienced festival manager, he organized a lot of international film events and screenings. furthermore, he gives lectures and workshops on queer muslim activism. as founder and director of transition, he always wants to highlight the effects of queerness, gender and diversity on our society.

JASMIN HAGENDORFER

creative director
jasmin hagendorfer is a vienna-based artist, creative mind, writer and curator. She has already initiated and managed very comprehensive projects in the art and culture scene. her main artistic interest is installation, sculpture and performance, and her work has been exhibited in many countries. as an artist she is concerned with sociopolitical discourses and questions about gender identity with an emphasis on post-porn-politics. she is the co-founder of art unanchored, an art festival that took place on a ship moving between vienna and bratislava and creative head of the porn film festival vienna. she holds numerous workshops and lectures on the topic of feminist pornography and queer art. her work as part of transition is focusing on the overall creative concept of the festival, the creation of artistic highlights and maintaining an artistic balance in the festival programming.

but a project consists of more than one core team, we have many helpers and supporters who integrate themselves into the festival at different times and help to bring the common.

joshua 
joshua comes from the fields of art and painting. he has been accompanying the festival for some time now and will support transition as festival assistant by using his planning skills and artistic eye. 


nadine 
she has experience in journalism and radio making, having written many articles for FM4 and working as a freelance journalist. in addition, she founded ig club kultur and is involved in political activism. nadine supports transition as social media manager. 


clementine 
she is the experienced one in the field of festival management, already supported numerous festivals like pffv and is also expert in the field of film distribution. her area is the structure and realization of the festival itself.

ilona
coming from the field of free journalism and working as a singer-songwriter, ilona accompanies transition in the area of press and pr. she is happy to answer all press inquiries.


christina 
christina supports the festival for the first time this year. she comes from a university teaching background and has worked a lot with other festivals in this context. she is writer for transition. 


luis
film and photography are an important part of the transition festival and this year again luis accompanies us to support the festival.
