when director tomer heymann first approached jonathan agassi, one of the world’s most successful gay porn stars, he refused to be the protagonist of heymann’s new film. he was concerned that his mother would not agree to appear in a documentary that would tell the whole truth. contrary to his expectation, however, she did and participated in this documentary that allows a rare and intimate insight into the life and work of jonathan agassi. jonathan agassi saved my life is a film about sexual fantasies, the world of porn and a loving and encouraging mother-son-relationship that challenges common family concepts.
